Bang Bang Chicken Thighs

There’s nothing like a nice set of thighs. These Bang Bang Chicken Thighs are easy on the eyes and a party in your mouth. They’re easy to make and will make your guests say ooo la la.

Tips / Suggestions

  • Burn the coal down till have mostly have embers. You want to cook the chicken over smoke / heat, not flames, as it will get burned.
  • Serve the chicken with rice. It makes one heck of a meal. Also, save some of the bang bang sauce to dip the rice or chicken in.

Chicken thighs grilled over coal and smothered in a bang bang sauce. Such a simple recipe, but very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 8 8 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin on

  • 2 tbsp 2 olive oil

  • 3 tbsp 3 poultry seasoning of choice

  • 3 tbsp 3 chopped green onions (green end)

  • Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1 cup 1 mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp 1 sriracha sauce

  • 1 tbsp 1 honey

Directions

  • Combine all of the chicken thighs, olive, oil, and seasoning. Mix thoroughly and set aside. Be sure to get the seasoning underneath the skin.
  • Mix all of the bang bang sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Heat your grill to roughly 400 degrees F. Once all of the coals are grayed over and it has burned down quite a bit, add the chicken thighs and cook for roughly 15-20 minutes, flipping several times while moving the chicken thighs around the grill.
  • During the last 5 minutes baste the chicken with the bang bang sauce.
  • Once the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165 degrees F, remove from the grill, baste with more bang bang sauce, and set aside.
  • After about 5-10 minutes, top with chopped green onions, and dig in.
