Blueberry Sauced Tomahawk Pork Chops

We haven’t done pork chops in awhile, and these are worth the wait. These Blueberry Sauced Tomahawk Pork Chops are some of the best we’ve ever had.

Tips / Suggestions

  • I prefer to remove the chops from the grill once they hit 140 degrees F internal as they will continue to cook a little while resting. In my opinion this makes them juicier, although this is completely up to you.
  • I prefer to move the chops around when grilling as opposed to letting them cook in the same spot. Especially when using charcoal grills, this will help cook them all more evenly.
  • If you don’t have any blueberries, try a peach jam or preserve. This will go really well with the pork as well.

  • 2 tbsp 2 green onions chopped (green end)

  • Blueberry Sauce

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Asian BBQ sauce of choice

  • 1/2 1/2 lemon juiced

Directions

  • Place the chops in a plastic bag or container. Submerge in the marinade for 2-4 hours. Be sure to mix or rotate the chops around every hour or so.
  • Add the sauce ingredients to a sauce pot. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes. Set aside.
  • Heat your grill to 450 degrees F direct.
  • Remove the chops from the marinade and pat dry. Place them on the grill and grill for roughly 2 minutes per side. Flip and repeat until cooked to 145 degrees internal. During the last couple minutes of cooking baste the chops with the blueberry sauce.
