Delicious cedar planked salmon covered with bacon and smothered with a spicy chili crisp sauce.
Ingredients
1 1 whole salmon filet
2 tbsp 2 seafood seasoning of choice
1/2 1/2 pack of bacon (thin cut)
1 tbsp 1 sesame seeds
2 tbsp 2 green onions chopped (green end)
- Chili Crisp Sauce
2 tbsp 2 chili crisp
2 tbsp 2 apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup 1/4 ketchup
2 tbsp 2 brown sugar
1 tbsp 1 toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp 1 honey
1 tbsp 1 BBQ seasoning of choice
Directions
- Take 1 or 2 cedar planks (depending on how large they are) and torch both sides until they are charred. Take the salmon filet and cut into equal portions. Place each portion on the charred cedar plank(s). Coat the salmon with the seafood seasoning. Then, add the chopped bacon to each piece of fish.
- Combine all of the chili crisp sauce ingredients into a sauce pot. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat your grill to 400 degrees F direct. Place the planked salmon on the grill and cook until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 125 degrees F.
- Remove the salmon from the grill, top with chili crisp sauce, sesame seeds, green onions, and dig in.
